Workshops

Through our Nurture, Investigate and Stimulate pillars, we aim to Stimulate both young and professional dancers to help deepen their artistic connection and curiosity to contemporary dance. Throughout the year, we offer a myriad of dance workshops to cater for both young and professional dancers to help them Investigate their artistic integrity.

Our Tenderfoot workshops engage early career dancers, enabling them to connect with Liz Roche Company and gain insight into the day-to-day workings of a professional dance company. Through an application process, participants are invited to join Liz and our company dancers and are given the opportunity to follow the artistic and logistical development of a production from concept to rehearsal to performance. Our Tenderfoot workshops contribute to the creation of clear pathways to professional development for young dancers.

Through our partnership with The Irish World Academy, University of Limerick, we run an annual Choreography and Composition Workshop. Lead by our Artistic Director Liz Roche, Prof. Mel Mercier and Dr. Eoin Callery, these annual workshops explore the correlation and links between choreography and composition with students from the MA in Composition and Creative Music Practice and MA in Contemporary Dance Performance at University of Limerick.
