An innovative digital dance installation exploring sustainability and human connection.
Kindred is an exciting new digital dance work exploring sustainability and human connection. Dublin Dance Festival has been commissioned by ESB to produce this innovative public installation, which will be created by our Artistic Director & Choreographer, Liz Roche, in collaboration with Lightscape, award-winning specialists in projection, motion and interaction design.
Presented at ESB’s new sustainable headquarters on Fitzwilliam Street, Kindred brings dance and technology together to invite audiences to connect with the intensity of nature and to consider our relationship with ourselves, one another, and the planet. Featuring a soundscape by Ray Harman, Kindred asks us to consider our role, individually and collectively, in creating a liveable future together.
This new work is commissioned by The ESB Brighter Future Arts Fund, an all-island Arts Fund which aligns with ESB’s ‘Brighter Future’ purpose and net zero strategy by promoting environmental sustainability in diverse and ambitious ways. The public installation forms part of the Moving Futures project as part of Dublin Dance Festival.
